- Step 1: Log in to your account using the correct email address and password. If you have enabled two-step verification, enter the code received on your mobile number.
- Step 2: If you are using the Gmail application, tap the Menu icon and select Settings.
- Step 3: If you are using a browser to access your Gmail account, click the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen after logging in to your account.
- Step 4: Check whether you have added any important email address to the Blocked list.
- Step 5: Open the Spam folder and move the required emails to the Inbox folder.
- Step 6: Open the Trash folder and check whether any mail has been automatically moved to it
- Step 7: You can find the deleted messages in the Trash folder for 30 days and recover them.
- Step 8: If you find any essential emails, move the email message back to Inbox.
- Step 9: If you have enabled the ‘Skip the Inbox (Archive it)’ filter, then disable it.
- Step 10: In case you have set email forwarding, all your emails will be automatically sent to the other email address.
- Step 11: If you are using an email client to access your Gmail account, configure your email account using IMAP so that your emails will stay in the server even after deletion.
