- Step 1:Before adding your iCloud account to the Outlook email client, download and install iCloud For Windows.
- Step 2:After downloading the iCloud app, install it on your Windows computer and sign in to your iCloud account with the help of your Apple ID.
- Step 3:Otherwise, open the default browser and navigate to the official Apple ID website.
- Step 4:Enter your Apple ID in the required field to log in to your iCloud account.
- Step 5:Navigate to the Security section and select the Two-Step Verification option.
- Step 6:Click the Get Started button and follow the on-screen prompts to enable Two-Step Verification for your iCloud account.
- Step 7:When prompted, enter the verification code sent through your email address in the required field.
- Step 8:Next, open the Outlook app and click the File tab at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Step 9:Select Info from the left-side panel and click the Add Account button.
- Step 10:Enable the Manual setup or additional server types radio button and click Next.
- Step 11:On the next screen, click the POP or IMAP radio button and click Next.
- Step 12:On the POP and IMAP Account Settings screen, fill up the Your Name and Email Address fields in the User Information section.
- Step 13:Under Server Information, select IMAP from the Account Type drop-down menu.
- Step 14:Enter the incoming mail server name (for example, imap.mail.me.com) in the Incoming mail server field.
- Step 15:In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, enter the outgoing mail server name (for example, smtp.mail.me.com).
- Step 16:Enter your email address and password in the Logon Information section.
- Step 17:Click the More Settings button and navigate to the Outgoing Server section.
- Step 18:Enable the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox and click the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button.
- Step 19:Click OK and select the Advanced tab.
- Step 20:Enter 993 in the Incoming server (IMAP) field.
- Step 21:Select SSL as the encryption type from the drop-down menu next to Use the following type of encrypted connection.
- Step 22:Enter 587 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) field.
- Step 23:Select TLS as the encryption type from the drop-down menu next to Use the following type of encrypted connection.
- Step 24:Click OK and click the Test Account Settings button to verify the server settings.
- Step 25:After verifying the server settings, click the Next button followed by Finish, to complete the setup.
- Step 26:Now, your iCloud account is successfully added to the Outlook app.
