How to Create a Mail Merge

Move emails to a folder on the computer:

  • Step 1:On your desktop, launch the web browser and go to the official website of Google mail.
  • Step 2:Log in to your Gmail account with the correct email address and password.
  • Step 3:Choose the mails you wish to transfer to another folder and check their boxes to move them.
  • Step 4:Click the tag icon representing Labels. You can choose a new label or move the mails to an existing label. Labels act like a folder.
  • Step 5:From the drop-down options, select Create New to open a new label (folder). Enter a new label name and click Create.
  • Step 6:To hide the labeled email, select the emails and click Archive.
  • Step 1:All the selected mails will be moved successfully to the new label and know how to move mail to different folders in gmail.

Move mails to a folder automatically

  • Step 1:You can automatically move specific messages from a sender to a particular label. 
  • Step 2:Select the mail of the sender which you want to view in a new folder.
  • Step 3:Click More below the search content box and select Filter messages like these. Then, click Create filter in the next prompt.
  • Step 4:Check the skip the inbox and Apply the label boxes and select the label to move all future emails from the same email address. You can create a new label if required.
  • Step 5:Check next to Also apply the filter to matching messages, to move the existing mails from the same address. Then, select Create Filter.

Move your mails to a folder in the Gmail app:

  • Step 1:Open the Gmail application and sign in to your account.
  • Step 2:Select the hamburger(menu) icon on the top-left corner.
  • Step 3:Click Create New and create a new label by adding a name and press Done.
  • Step 4:Go back to the Primary folder, which contains all the inbox messages.
  • Step 5:Select the mails to move to the new label and select the three-dotted icon on the top-right.
  • Step 6:Press the Change labels option and select the tick mark to save the changes after know how to move mail to different folders in gmail .
