The sent email cannot be edited for mistakes, but Outlook's recall feature allows users to recall an email in Mail.com in limited circumstances. The recall feature sends a message asking the email client to delete the email that you have just sent. The purpose of this part is to delete the email send with any typos or other errors. This also allows users to substitute the message with a new message. By default, Outlook will delete the email message if the recipient hasn't read it yet. However, if the recipient has read the email, then it can be deleted.

To Recall Emails In Outlook 2007

  • Step 1:Choose the message you want to recall on sent items.
  • Step 2:Under the Message tab, select Action Group > Other Actions > Recall This Message.
  • Step 3:Click on the Delete unread copies of this message option to delete the unread messages.
  • Step 4:You can also replace the message by selecting the Delete unread copies and replace with a new message option.
  • Step 5:Click OK to proceed with the process.
  • Step 6:To recall emails in newer versions of Outlook:
  • Step 7:Select the Sent Items folder on your Outlook window.
  • Step 8:Open and double-click on the message you want to recall.

  • Step 12:Make sure to tick on the Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient checkbox.

  • Step 14:Note: If you can't find the Recall The Message command, it means the feature isn't available for your email service. Now you successfully recall an email in Mail.com.
