Preferred Outgoing Mail Server on Mac

To set up a Preferred Outgoing Mail Server on Mac system, read and proceed with the instructions given below.

  • Step 1:Launch your mail application on your mac system.
  • Step 2:Locate the mail menu and click it.
  • Step 3:Select the preferences option and click the accounts tab.
  • Step 4:Specify the account for which you want to set the outgoing mail server address and highlight it.
  • Step 5:If the account is not found in the accounts list, click the plus sign available at the bottom of the list.
  • Step 6:Perform the on-screen instructions to add the account.
  • Step 7:Now, locate and click the server settings tab.
  • Step 8:From the outgoing mail account drop-down menu, choose the preferred outgoing mail server.
  • Step 9:To change the smtp server list, click the edit smtp server list option available at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
  • Step 10:After setting the preferred smtp server, click the ok button to apply the changes made.
